Mass Pike, I-290 Ramp Closures Coming After Presidents' Day

The ramp closures near the I-290 and I-90 interchange south of Worcester will mean detours.

WORCESTER, MA — Construction work will force the closure of two I-290 ramps following the Presidents' Day long weekend, according to MassDOT.

Here are the two closures, and how drivers can detour around them, according to the state:

From 11 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday — The westbound I-90 off-ramp to Route 12 and I-395 southbound and I-290 toward Worcester will close. Drivers will be able to use the Route 146 exit to take Route 20 westbound to the I-290 interchange.

From 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday — The ramp from Mass Pike and Route 12 to I-290 eastbound (toward Worcester) will close. Drivers will detour to I-395 southbound to take a different exit to reach I-290 toward Worcester.
