More Than 1,200 In Worcester Without Power: UPDATE
Worcester is among the many communities hit across the state.

WORCESTER, MA—An especially heavy snow in this newest nor'easter has caused power problems for multiple communities across the state, including Worcester.
By 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 1,222 of 79,485 were affected in Worcester, marking less than one percent of the customers in the town, according to National Grid. Power is expected to be restored by midnight on Thursday. Also by 12:30 p.m., Worcester County saw 62,269 of its 299,740 customers affected, with Northborough among the hardest hit at 98 percent still without power. Berlin, Bolton and Douglas also still sat much in the dark.
More than 110,000 power customers were in the dark as of 1 a.m.., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Patch will be updating power outages throughout Thursday, so check back often. Southern Worcester County and the Merrimack Valley are seeing the worst of it.
