New Spectrum Scam Targets Worcester Area Customers: DA
Scammers are trying to trick local Spectrum customers into paying a high fee for a fake deal.

WORCESTER, MA — If you get an offer to cut your Spectrum bill in half for a nominal fee, it's probably too good to be true.
The Worcester County District Attorney is warning local Spectrum customers about a new scheme where scammers offer a two-year, 50 percent off discount if you pay a one-time $99 fee.
"It sounds convincing, but it's not a valid offer from Spectrum," the DA's office said in a bulletin. "Spectrum will never offer a discounted rate for a fee."
