Nurse From Worcester Struck In Deadly Hit And Run
A Worcester woman who worked as a nurse in Framingham was killed on Route 9 in East Brookfield. Police are seeking the driver.

EAST BROOKFIELD, MA—A Framingham nurse who lived in Worcester was struck and killed in a hit and run on Route 9 in East Brookfield, according to reports.
Lisa Germain, 54, from Worcester, died after she was taken to the hospital after the accident at 6 p.m. on Route 9 on Sunday in East Brookfield, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.
WCVB-TV reports that Germain worked as an ICU nurse at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

East Brookfield police are still searching for the driver, and said that they believe the "person(s) involved may not have realized that they struck a person, so we urge them to contact us." Police have several angles of video surveillance and other evidence of the suspect vehicle.
We "want closure for the victim's family as well as them," police said.
