Six overdoses occurred in the town in a period of eight hours, and only survived because of Narcan.

SOUTHBRIDGE, MA—There is a particularly lethal batch of heroin making its way around the town of Southbridge, warn police.

The warning was issued on Oct. 27 after six overdoses had occurred in less than eight hours. No one died, but those who overdosed were only revived after Narcan was administered by police and fire personnel.

"These six overdoses would have likely been fatal without the prompt response of the police and fire department," said police.
