Popular TV Show Begins Filming In Worcester

The highly rated zombie show is filming its third season.

WORCESTER, MA — The city is turning apocalyptic as "The Walking Dead: Dead City" begins filming in Worcester.

Police are advising residents of some downtown closures this week: Franklin Street, from Main to Salem Streets, and Portland Street, from Franklin to Federal Streets, will be closed.

Both locations will be closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.

There will also be no parking on Franklin, Portland or Federal Streets during that time.

"The Walking Dead: Dead City" is filming its third season, according to a news release. The main characters played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan to face the dead.
