Popular Worcester Housing Community Gets Traffic Safety Measure
More than 1,000 residents live at Great Brook Valley Gardens.
WORCESTER, MA — A new addition at Great Brook Valley Gardens will help improve traffic safety at the housing community.
Three new speed humps will be installed along Tacoma Street, according to a news release from the Worcester Housing Authority. These measures will improve traffic safety at GBV Gardens, which is one of the city's largest housing communities.

“With more than 1,000 residents in Great Brook Valley, including hundreds of children, traffic safety is a top priority,” said WHA CEO Alex Corrales. “We’ve seen a sharp increase in speeding, and it poses a danger year-round. These speed humps are a simple but effective way to protect families where they live, play, and go to school.”
