WESTBOROUGH, MA — A postponed sewer project in Westborough is now underway, which means more than a week of traffic delays in the downtown area.

Construction crews were originally supposed to begin re-lining sewers along East Main Street (Route 30) between the downtown rotary and State Street last week. The project was delayed amid a week of tumultuous weather.

The project will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day through July 24. The rotary area — where Route 30 and Route 135 intersect — will be the most heavily impacted, town officials said.
