Saint-Gobain Expands Its Historic Worcester Campus

The French company has operated in the city for over a century.

WORCESTER, MA — French company Saint-Gobain unveiled its new administration building in Worcester.

Saint-Gobain, which has operated in the city for over a century, opened a new 47,000 square-foot building at its Worcester manufacturing campus.

Saint-Gobain designs, manufactures, and distributes high-performance materials, including insulation, glass and plaster. The company used over 30 of its building material solutions to create the new structure at 351 Stores St.

City leaders, including Mayor Joseph Petty, Worcester City Manager Eric Batista, and Timothy P. Murray, President & CEO of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, were among those who attended and spoke at a ribbon-cutting event on Dec. 3.

In 2022, Saint-Gobain said it contributed approximately 51 acres to the Worcester Business Development Corporation as part of its Greendale Revitalization Plan.

“Our new, state-of-the-art administration building here in Worcester marks Saint-Gobain Norton Abrasives’s next chapter in Worcester, a city we have called home for over a century,” said Patrick Dwyer, President of Saint-Gobain North America.
