'Saturday Mercado' Events Coming To Worcester's Glass Tower Courtyard
The Saturday markets will take place in the courtyard of the downtown office tower featuring handmade goods, produce and food.

WORCESTER, MA — A new series of outdoor markets will begin in Worcester this month, taking over the usually dormant courtyard in front of Worcester's "glass tower" office building across from City Hall.
The "Saturday Mercado" series will feature a farmers' market, local food, artisans and vintage goods, according to the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District — a sponsor of the markets along with K Sense Co. and the Worcester Regional Food Hub, which is located in the 446 Main St. tower.
"The Saturday Mercado will be a great addition to Downtown life this summer, bringing a curated selection of handmade and vintage goods, a farmers’ market, delicious local food, entertainment, and more to Main Street," Worcester BID Executive Director Evelyn Darling said in a news release. “We are especially thrilled to collaborate with partners like K Sense Co. and the Worcester Regional Food Hub to activate the beautiful green space outside the iconic ‘Glass Tower,’ at 446 Main Street — a long-desired goal for the area that’s come up time and again from residents and visitors alike.”
