Silver Scream Con Brings 'Gore & More' To Worcester
The horror convention kicks off with a double feature movie night Thursday and continues with celebrities throughout the weekend.
WORCESTER, MA — Silver Scream Con begins Thursday with a double feature movie. The convention officially opens at the DCU Center on Friday and runs through Sunday.
Thursday’s movie night will be hosted by noted culture journalist Ryan Downey. Horror lovers attending the con will be treated to a screening of "Ice Nine Kills Presents: Welcome to Horrorwood" and "The Retaliators." Doors open at 8:30 p.m. at Off-the Rails at 90 Commercial St.

The weekend will feature panels that "spill the blood on the off-screen and backstage machinations by the biggest names in the horror movie cabal."
Panel sessions include Inked in Blood, Clowinin’ Around, Talkin’ Chop, Stabbing in the Dark, Talk Scary to Me, and 25 Years of Idle Hands.

Among the celebrity guests taking part will be Spencer Charnas, Damien Leon, Eli Roth, David Arquette, Danielle Harris, Jamie Kennedy, P.J. Soles, David Howard Thornton, Bill Mosely, and Shawnee Smith.
