WORCESTER, MA—A teen is facing charges after police say he was among a group of kids on bikes who caused a disturbance at an intersection, the teen jumping on a car's hood and windshield and stomping on it.

On Feb. 24 at around 4:45 p.m., police headed to Tacoma Street, where callers reported there was a group of unruly bike riders. The callers said that young people on bikes were surrounding cars at the stop sign. The driver of the car that was blocked beeped her horn, after which one of the bike riders jumped on the hood of the car and stomped on it, said police. He reportedly stomped on the windshield until it smashed and then got on his bike and drove away.

After the incident, officers checked the cameras in the Great Brook Valley security system. The incident was captured on camera, and the officers were able to see the suspect. On March 1, police went to his residence to speak with him. When the male answered the door, the officers identified him and placed him under arrest for Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace. The male is 17 years old and will be arraigned in Worcester Juvenile Court.
