UHaul Drives Into Police Cruiser, Truck On Interstate

A State Trooper and the driver of the UHaul were both sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

STURBRIDGE, MA — Two people, including a State Trooper, were injured after a UHaul truck crashed into a cruiser and truck on I-84 shortly after midnight.

The driver of the UHaul truck is hospitalized with minor injuries. The trooper was treated for minor injuries and released Thursday morning.

Police said a rented UHaul carrying a trailer into the cruiser, which was inside a road detail set-up. The cruiser was pushed against the guardrail and rolled onto its side.

The UHaul also struck a truck that was owned by one of the road construction contractors. That person was not injured.

Police are investigating potential charges for the UHaul driver.

Two lanes of the interstate were closed for some four hours.
