UMass Chan To Begin Teaching Affiliation With Southcoast Health
Southcoast Health has hospitals in Plymouth and Bristol counties. UMass Chan students will begin clinical rotations in those facilities.

WORCESTER, MA — UMass Chan Medical School is expanding its footprint in the state's healthcare system, announcing an agreement with Southcoast Health to deploy medical students to work in the healthcare system's hospitals.
The deal revealed Wednesday will allow UMass Chan medical students to begin working clinical rotations in areas like family and internal medicine. Some rotations began last month, the medical school said in a news release, and will expand further in August.
The Southcoast Health affiliation follows other recent UMass Chan expansions, including a new campus at Lahey Hospital in Burlington and a campus at Springfield-based Baystate Health. The school's main partnership is with the UMass Memorial health system in Worcester.
