WATCH: Dog Grabs Pancakes, Starts Stove Fire: Alarms Bring Help
The family pet was drawn to some leftover flapjacks on the stove, and inadvertently started that stove, and a fire.

SOUTHWICK, MA—Firefighters warn, always be careful leaving food on the stove.
That said, one family left some leftover pancakes from their breakfast on the stove, and the family dog decided to help himself to said pancakes when the family left. The dog hit the ignition button on the gas stove (we're assuming by accident, as dogs don't care if their flapjacks are heated up), and within minutes the stove ignites.
In this case, the homeowner was connected to a monitored alarm system calling responders saving severe damage, according to a post from the Southwick Fire Department.
