What's Happening In Worcester For Veterans Day 2023

Worcesters' 70th annual Veterans Day recognition will take place on Saturday.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester will multiple Veterans Day events in 2023, and will close all municipal offices Friday for the observed holiday.

Veterans Day 2023 on Saturday will feature the annual parade honoring veterans and several wreath-laying ceremonies. This year will be the 70th observance of the day by the Worcester Veterans Council, and the 104th observation of Armistice Day, the day World War I ended.

Veterans Inc. Pancake Breakfast

Starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans Inc. site at 69 Grove St. The breakfast is free for any veteran and their family.

Veterans Day Parade

The parade steps off from the corner of North and Grove streets at 11 a.m.

First wreath ceremony

The first wreath-laying will happen at noon at the state Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Green Hill Park.

Second wreath ceremony

After Green Hill Park, there will be a wreath-laying at the Korean War Memorial, 52 Foster St., at 1 p.m.
