What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In Worcester

Along with town offices and banks, by state law, liquor stores are also closed on Memorial Day in Massachusetts.

WORCESTER, MA—Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day, and the holiday means some businesses and other places in town are closed.

Specifically, City Hall will be closed in Worcester, along with liquor stores, which are closed on Memorial Day due to Massachusetts state law. Additionally, the Worcester Public Library is closed on Sunday and Monday.

  • Restaurants, bars: Open at owner's discretion
  • Liquor stores: Closed
  • Trash, recycling: Delayed one day.
