Woman Charged With Arson Related To Leominster House Fire

A woman is facing charges for a fire that happened to a Leominster home over the weekend.

LEOMINSTER, MA—A woman has been arrested and is facing charges in relation to a fire in Leominster this week.

State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early, Jr., Leominster Fire Chief Robert Sideleau, and Leominster Interim Police Chief Michael Goldman, said Linda Sbrogna, 54, of Leominster, was arrested on Monday night and charged with setting a fire to a home at 51 Douglas Ave in Leominster and breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony.

Sbrogna was held without bail until a dangerousness hearing on Friday, according to the Telegram and Gazette. It is the second fire at this same location in a month, and CBS News reports that Sbrogna's attorney entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday. Surveillance cameras reportedly show Sbrogna on the property. CBS also reported that neighbors reported that there is an ongoing feud between Sbrogna and the homeowner.

The investigation into this fire was jointly conducted by the Leominster Fire and Police Departments and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
