WORCESTER, MA — Worcester is among the best places to retire in Massachusetts, according to a new ranking Tuesday from U.S. News & World Report.

Worcester ranked No. 11 among cities in Massachusetts on the Best Places to Retire in the U.S. list and No. 423 overall. Newton is the best-ranked city for retirees in the Bay State.

The rankings are based on how cities meet American retirees’ expectations, using measures including quality of life, affordability, health care, retiree taxes, job market, and, for the first time, population and migration for retirees aged 55 and older.
