Worc. Apartment Search Yields 300 Grams Coke, Marijuana, Gun
A Worcester man is facing several charges.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing several charges after police found cocaine, marijuana and a gun in his home.
On March 7, Worcester's Gang Unit conducted surveillance at an apartment on Duxbury Road, where one of its residents, Jehrid Laura, 26, was a target of the search warrant. When he left the apartment and police asked him what he was doing, he began shouting, "call my brother." Laura's brother lives with him, said teh report, and officers feared he may destroy evidence or ambush the officers.
Officers at the residence knocked on the door, and there were two other residents inside. Officers found 300 grams of crack and powder cocaine, as well as a loaded firearm with a large-capacity magazine, in a safe. About a pound of marijuana and various scales, notebooks, and measuring instruments were also present, said police.

Laura was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in Class B Substance Over 200 grams, Possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a firearm without FID, Possession of a large capacity firearm without FID, Possession of ammunition without FID, and Use of a Firearm While In Commission of a Felony. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
