Photos: Worcester Becomes Zombie Wasteland For 'Walking Dead' Shoot
This is what Worcester would look like in a zombie apocalypse (and if the city had a subway system).
WORCESTER, MA — From a fake subway station to businesses damaged by graffiti, Worcester has been turned into a mini replica of New York City for the production of season 2 of "The Walking Dead: Dead City."
The AMC zombie show, a spinoff with characters from "The Walking Dead," has been filming in multiple locations around Worcester, and will even mean the closure of the MBTA Commuter Rail platform almost all day Wednesday.
The show focuses on the characters Maggie and Negan — played by actors Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan — traveling through post-apocalypse New York City searching for Maggie's son. Of course, the city is infested with brain-hungry, flesh eating zombies.
