Worcester City Council Asking For Emergency Homelessness Plan: Report
Worcester's homeless population is reportedly rising, and now City Council is expected to address the issue at next week's meeting.

WORCESTER, MA - The City Council sent a request to City Manager Eric Batista to provide an emergency plan for the city's rising homeless population, according to the Telegram & Gazette.
The motion was introduced by District 5 Councilor Etel Haxhiaj. It was put forward because of the anticipated closing of temporary homeless shelters in the city. Other councilors have voiced their support of the motion, and it will be addressed in next week's city council meeting.
