Worcester High School Library Transformed by Local Volunteers
The school will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony June 23 to introduce its new improvements and upgrades.

From Worcester Public Schools:
WORCESTER, CT - The library at Burncoat High School in Worcester will be completely transformed – turning it into a state of the art space for parents, teachers and students to utilize – thanks to employees from a local biotechnology company partnering with Worcester Public Schools Facilities Team. The makeover will include improving the design and layout, providing new furniture; technology and library books; and stocking books for students to take home. The new library will host areas for instructional sessions, research and technology use, and community gatherings.
This effort is part of AbbVie’s third-annual Week of Possibilities which involves more than 55 hands-on service projects in more than 50 countries, with volunteers providing more than 25,000 hours of service in the communities where they live and work. In 2015, AbbVie completed a library makeover for the connecting elementary school, giving students access to improved library resources throughout some of the most important school years.
