Worcester, MA Apple Picking Guide 2017

As the summer winds down and the temperatures begin to cool off, people are starting to look for fall activities for their families to take part in and the most popular is by far apple picking. Apples are just now coming into season and are waiting to be picked. Be sure not to miss out on the fun and check out the best places in Massachusetts for you and your family to enjoy.

Worcester is in the center of the state, so if you're in the area you have your choice between orchards on the eastern and western side of Massachusetts.

If you're unsure of where the best orchards and farms are, Patch has you covered. Below you'll find a list of the some of the best options in the Worcester area. You may have to drive a bit to get to some of them, but it's good to get out of the city for the day and trust us, these places are worth it.

Tougas Family Farm

• 234 Ball Street in Northborough.
• Open daily from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Make sure to check out Tougas' Picking Conditions page to ensure it's the best time to pick your apples.

Foppema's Farm

• 10 McClellan Road in Sutton.
• Apple picking takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• Apple picking officially began on September 1st and will run until the season is over.

Charlton Orchards

• 44 Old Worcester Road in Charlton.
• Open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. Sundays from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. Mondays from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. Charlton is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
• Apple picking officially began in August and will run through October.

Brookfield Orchards

• 12 Lincoln Road in North Brookfield.
• Open daily from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Apples at Brookfield are officially in season and will be through October.

Hyland Orchard

• 3 Lake Road in Fiskdale.
• Open Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 PM-9:00 PM
• Apple picking at Hyland officially begins on September 24th.

Berlin Orchards

• Rt. 62 and Lower Sawyer Hill Road in Berlin.
• Open 10:00 AM-5:00 PM through the end of October.
