Worcester Man Caught With More Than 1000 Grams Of Drugs: Police

A 24-year-old now faces drug trafficking charges.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is facing drug trafficking charges after the police department's Gang Unit found over 1000 grams of what appeared to be cocaine in an apartment, the Worcester Police Department said in a news release.

Officers arrested Onix Aviles, 24, outside of an apartment on Chilmark St. at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Inside the apartment, officers found more than 1000 grams of what appeared to be crack cocaine and powder cocaine, along with packaging materials.

Aviles was charged with Trafficking In A Class B Substance Over 200 Grams, police said.
