Aderito Monteiro, 28, of Randolph, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in Boston Municipal Court to negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, disorderly conduct, marked lanes violation, driving an unregistered ATV, and driving an uninsured ATV.
State Police attempted to stop a group of 25-35 off-road bike and ATV riders on the Southeast Expressway in Boston Saturday night. Police say the members of the group were operating their vehicles in an "erratic and dangerous manner" and were located near exit 18 on I-93 South. Video taken by a rider at the scene showed several of the bikes trying to escape the police-surrounded area by any means possible.
