Worcester Man Charged With Receiving Stolen Vehicle

A Worcester man was found attempting to unlock a company vehicle previously reported missing.

WORCESTER, MA - A Worcester man was charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, according to a news release from the Worcester Police Department.

On the morning of March 24, officers responded to a report from a man who said he saw his stolen company vehicle on Piedmont Street.

The officers approached the vehicle, which was unoccupied and locked, when moments later a man, identified as Brett Cordeiro, 29, of Worcester, walked up to the driver-side door with a key in his hand.

Cordeiro claimes a family member gave him the key. Officers subsequently arrested him, and now Cordeiro is charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
