Worcester Man Sentenced In Cocaine Distribution Conspiracy
A Worcester man was sentenced to prison for his reported involvement in a cocaine distribution ring stemming from Puerto Rico.

WORCESTER, MA - A Worcester man was sentenced yesterday in federal court for his reported involvement in a cocaine distribution conspiracy.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Luis Torres, 47, of Worcester, was given eight years in prison and four years of supervised release. He is accused of conspiring with others to coordinate package deliveries from Puerto Rico containing cocaine and with intention to distribute.
Law enforcement intercepted the package in June 2022 and arrested Torres, recovering $26,480 in cash in the process.

Torres pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and one count of use of a communication facility to facilitate a drug felony.
