Worcester's DCU Center Gets Sound System Overhaul
This is the arena's second improvement project in the last few years.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester’s biggest arena just got a major upgrade.
The City of Worcester and entertainment company ASM Global have officially completed an overhaul of the DCU Center’s arena sound system, according to a news release. The DCU Center is located at 50 Foster St. and hosts entertainment and sporting events.
The arena and convention center underwent a $2.2 million sound system overhaul to meet the audio demands of today’s performances, according to the release.

Some local companies were involved in the project, like Franklin-based Eastern Acoustic Works and consultant WJHW, who designed the system. Plus, Worcester-based Ostrow Electric Company and Metropolitan Interactive completed the installation.
The project significantly enhances sound for the 14,000-seat arena. This is the center’s second project in the last few years. Seating throughout the venue was upgraded back in 2022.

“Following the upgraded seating, this project is another example of the municipality’s continued investment in the DCU Center…,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “Ongoing improvements like this help us attract top-tier events, support local jobs, and showcase the world-class experience Worcester has to offer.”
