The cookies were possibly contaminated with wood, according to the report, which classified the action as a Class II recall.

The FDA described a Class II recall as "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote."The "best by" date on the cookie packages "can vary as they are applied by retailer when removed from freezer," the report said.
