2 MI Beer Gardens Nominated Among Best In Nation: List

MICHIGAN — Two Michigan beer gardens were nominated as among the best in the nation.

Hop Lot Brewing Co. and Watermark Brewing Company were picked among 20 spots by a USA Today panel as the best beer garden to enjoy a beer outside across the nation.

Now, the panel wants its readers to narrow down the list from 20 to 10.

Hop Lot Brewing Co., located in Sutton’s Bay, features roughly a dozen ales on tap, along with a campfire, picnic tables and winter igloos.

"You’ll find a wide selection of delicious beers, ciders, wines, scrumptious food, and a one-of-a-kind microbrewery experience right on M22 in Suttons Bay MI," the brewery says on its website.

Watermark Brewing Company, located in downtown Stevensville, features craft beers, local food trucks, live music performances and comedy nights.

"We pride ourselves on crafting unique and delicious beer perfect for any occasion. Whether you're looking for a refreshing lager to cool you off on a hot summer day or a rich stout to warm you up on a chilly winter night, we've got you covered," the brewery website says.

Readers can vote for their favorite beer garden by going to the USA Today 10Best beer garden nominees website. Voters have until noon, Feb. 24. The top ten winners will be announced on March 5.
