2 MI Detroit Wing Company Restaurants Reopen Under New Ownership

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Two Detroit Wing company restaurants in southeast Michigan that shut down earlier this year have reopened under new ownership.

The Davison and Grand Blanc locations have reopened their restaurants and will host a special grand opening event on Saturday to relaunch.

The first 25 customers at each location will be entered into a raffle to win free wings for a year. The restaurant is offering 50 percent off the entire menu all day at both locations. There will also be exclusive promotions and other giveaways too.

Detroit Wing Company Founder Gus Malliaras said he has spent the past five months renovating the restaurants to accommodate an expanded menu.

While their menu is best-known for fresh, natural, bone-in and boneless chicken wings that are served with a choice of nearly two dozen sauces, including lemon pepper and teriyaki, the new menu items will include sandwiches, wraps and salads.

Specifically, the new menu items include:

• Wraps: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken Caesar, Spicy Chicken and Honey BBQ Chicken
• Sandwiches: Classic Crispy Chicken, Crispy Chicken BLT, Nashville Hot and Honey BBQ
• Salads: Greek Chicken Salad, Honey BBQ Chicken Salad and Buffalo Chicken Chopped Wedge
• Sides: Nashville Hot Cheese Fries, Garlic Parmesan Fries and Funnel Cake Fries

The new wraps and sandwiches are priced at $9.99, with salads available for $11.99. Guests can also complete any wing order with French fries and a beverage for just $3.99.

"We appreciate the strong connection the Davison and Grand Blanc communities had with the previous team and truly value their patience as we worked through this process," Malliaras said. "We’re committed to maintaining that same level of service while bringing new enhancements to elevate the overall guest experience."

A third Detroit Wing company location in Oxford also closed down earlier this year. There was no immediate word on when or if that location will reopen.

Detroit Wing Company opened their first restaurant in Eastpointe in 2015. Since then, they've grown to 31 corporate and franchise-operated locations, including Michigan, Florida, Indiana and Ohio.
