Chick-fil-A Planning To Open 25-30 New MI Restaurants: Here's Where

MICHIGAN — Chick-fil-A is planning to open between 25 and 30 restaurants in across Michigan by the end of 2028, according to a news release from restaurant officials.

"With a unique blend of rural, suburban and city neighborhoods, Michigan is filled with tight-knit communities and proud residents," Chick-fil-A Area Director for the Midwest Region Scott Mayson said. "When looking to identify new opportunities to serve Guests and support local communities and economic development, expanding our presence in Michigan was a clear next step."

Most of the restaurants are expected to open in the Detroit area. Here's where some of them will be opening:

Detroit Area

• Chesterfield Township (this Fall/Winter)
• Roseville (this Fall/Winter)
• Taylor (this Fall/Winter)
• Fort Gratiot (this Fall/Winter)
• Detroit (First National Building - no exact opening date yet)
• Ann Arbor (Proposed site 3310 Washtenaw Avenue, former Denny's)
• Auburn Hills (Proposed site North Squirrel Road, between Walton Boulevard and University Drive)
• Canton (Proposed site Ford Road between Interstate 275 and Lotz Road)
• Clinton Township (Proposed site Romeo Plank Road and Hall Road)
• Lincoln Park (Proposed site Southfield and Dix roads, former Sears)
• Orion Township (No details yet)

Lansing/Jackson Area

• Two restaurants are expected to open sometime in 2025.

Flint/Saginaw Area

• One restaurant in Saginaw is expected to open sometime in 2025.

Benton Harbor

• One restaurant is expected to open sometime in 2025.

The new restaurants are expected to create over 2,500 jobs across Michigan, according to restaurant officials.

The popular fast-food restaurant is best known for its chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and signature Chick-fil-A dipping sauce.

There are currently more than 30 Chick-fil-A restaurants in Michigan, including 13 in the Metro Detroit area.
