Eleven-year-old Isa is a joyful youth who definitely brightens up the day for those around him.

“It would definitely be fun having Isa in the house,” his worker says. “He is a very bubbly and joyful youth who brightens up everybody’s day. You can’t be in the same space with Isa without feeling good, and that is absolutely true. He lights up the whole room!”

“He is always smiling and jumping for joy,” his worker continues. “He has an outgoing personality and loves to smile and make others laugh. He loves to engage with staff and peers. It is difficult to be in a bad mood around Isa because of how happy he typically is.”

“I giggle all the time,” Isa says.

“He enjoys learning and is engaged with the material at school. He loves to read. He will read a book cover-to-cover. If you’re sitting with him, he will read the whole book to you.”

Isa is very energetic and inquisitive, and he loves to play games - like tag and duck, duck goose - with other kids. He also likes spending his free time drawing and coloring, watching videos (especially of Superman, his favorite superhero).

Isa enjoys exercise and being outdoors.

“He would walk for miles if you let him,” says his worker.

Those close to him say he is helpful, independent, and often fully engaged in what he is doing and that he eagerly helps with cooking, calling himself a “mini-sous chef.”

Isa and his workers are hoping that he will be matched with a forever family of his own.

“Isa would do well with two parents who have the time to devote to giving him the love, support, and attention he needs and deserves,” his worker says. “His new family will need to be advocates for the services that are helping him to continue to grow and fulfill his potential. Siblings would definitely be a plus - kids for him to play with.”

With his forever family, Isa would love to go for walks and play outdoors and go to his favorite place, the beach.

“I would say to any family looking to adopt a child, if you go with Isa, he is going to brighten your day – every day.”
