Community Choice Credit Union will celebrate its back-to-school tradition by giving free backpacks loaded with school supplies to more than 3,000 students throughout Michigan at its annual Back-to-School Bash event. The event takes place at multiple locations, August 8, 2024, 4 - 7 p.m.
The community is invited to enjoy free food, music, fun activities for the kids, and – most importantly for back-to-school timing – will receive a free backpack. Each backpack will contain supplies including pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, crayons, rulers and more. Locations will have at least 400 backpacks on hand and children must be present to receive one, while supplies last.

The full list of backpack giveaway sites is listed below. Giveaways will be held at a Community Choice Credit Union member center unless otherwise noted.

- Jackson Member Center, 1425 Parnall Road, Jackson
- Wyandotte – Benjamin F. Yack Arena, 3131 3rd Street, Wyandotte
- Roseville Member Center, 20779 13 Mike Road, Roseville
- Warren Member Center, 7415 Chicago Road, Warren
- Livonia Member Center, 15420 Farmington Road, Livonia
- Muskegon – Harvey Street - 1624 Independence Drive, Muskegon
The Back-to-School Bash is supported by the Community Choice Foundation, the charitable arm of Community Choice Credit Union. The foundation supports schools, students and teachers around the state in a variety of ways, from providing scholarships to colleges, trade schools and for continuing education each spring, to giving teachers and students resources and supplies designed to help them be successful in their classrooms.
