LAFCU accepting donations through Aug. 15 for annual back-to-school supplies drive

Fourth annual event to support students in multiple communities

LAFCU is inviting the community to help mid-Michigan students start the school year strong by donating school supplies and hygiene products as part of the credit union’s fourth annual Back-to-School Extravaganza.

Donations are being accepted now through Friday, Aug. 15, at any of LAFCU’s 10 branch locations during regular business hours. Items collected will benefit K-12 students in Lansing and other nearby communities. A list of LAFCU branch locations can be found at www.lafcu.com/contact-us/locations/branch-locations.

“This drive is about more than just providing school supplies — it’s about giving kids the tools and confidence they need to thrive in the classroom,” said Shelia Scott, LAFCU’s community financial education and business development officer. “When we come together to support local families, we’re investing in our future and easing the burden on parents and caregivers.”
