Mackinac Bridge Partially Closed Monday Due To High Winds
Steady winds were blowing at 50 miles per hour with gusts reaching to 64 miles per hour Monday morning, according to officials.

MACKINAW CITY, MI — The Mackinac Bridge is partially closed Monday due to high winds in the area, according to the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
As of Monday morning, only passenger cars, passenger vans and empty pickup trucks are allowed to cross the bridge. Tonneau covers, bed caps or similar items are not permitted, according to officials.
Officials urged drivers to reduce their speed to 20 miles per hour while approaching the bridge and be prepared to stop. Bridge personnel are at both ends of the bridge to instruct drivers when and how to cross the bridge.
