MI 2024 Election Results: Presidential, Congressional Races
Michigan voters cast their ballots on Harris vs. Trump, Slotkin vs. Rogers.

MICHIGAN — Polls are now closed in Michigan's 2024 general elections, which includes the U.S. Presidential race and multiple other competitive races.
More than 2 million Michigan voters have already returned their absentee ballots, and more than 1 million voted early in person, according to Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's office.

Here are six key races to watch.
U.S. President
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are competing for Michigan's 15 electoral votes in the U.S. presidential election.
As a true battleground, results are expected to be close in Michigan. In 2020, President Joe Biden defeated Trump in Michigan by roughly 154,000 votes. In 2016, Trump beat Hillary Clinton by roughly 10,600 votes in Michigan.

U.S. Senate
Democrat Representative Elissa Slotkin and Republican Mike Rogers are vying for Michigan's open senate seat.
The senate seat became available after longtime Democrat Debbie Stabenow decided not to seek reelection. Stabenow was first elected to the Senate in 2000 and won re-election three times.

U.S. House District 10 (Macomb County/Rochester Hills area)
Republican incumbent Rep. John James ran unopposed in August's primary, while Democrat Carl Marlinga beat out a group of other Democrats to win the nomination.
The matchup is a rematch from 2022 when James narrowly defeated Marlinga in by just 1,600 votes.
The district includes parts of Macomb County and Rochester-Rochester Hills.

U.S. House District 11 (Oakland County)
Democratic incumbent Rep. Haley Stevens is trying to win re-election against Republican Nick Somberg. Both candidates cruised to easy primary wins in August.
The district includes most of Oakland County.

U.S. House District 12 (Detroit/Dearborn areas)
Democratic incumbent Rep. Rashida Tlaib is trying to win re-election against Republican James Hooper. Tlaib ran unopposed in August's primary while Hooper beat out two other challengers.
In 2022, Tlaib cruised to an easy victory over Republican Steven Elliot.
U.S. House District 13 (Detroit)
Democrat incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar is trying to win re-election against Republican Martell Bivings. Thanedar won a tough primary matchup in August, while Bivings ran unopposed.
The matchup is a rematch from 2022 when Thanedar defeated Bivings.
