TECUMSEH, MI — A popular southeast Michigan brewery is closing down this weekend.

Tecumseh Brewing Company announced Thursday it will close Sunday after 10 years in business to focus on "restructuring" in Lenawee County.

"The past five years have tested us in every possible way," the owners said in a social media post. "From unexpected challenges to economic shifts, we’ve fought hard to stay afloat — and by all accounts, we’re only here today because of you (our customers). Our community has been our miracle, showing up with unwavering support, love, and loyalty. You are the reason we made it this far."

The brewery opened in 2014 in the former Cowboy's Grill at 128 W. Chicago Blvd in Tecumseh. It usually had 15-24 craft beers on tap alongside light snacks.

The owners said it was a tough decision, and that they hope to reopen again sometime in the future.

"This isn’t goodbye forever. It’s a pause, a deep breath, and a promise. We fully intend to reclaim our spot as the heart of this community — refreshed, rebuilt, and ready to raise a glass with you again," the owners said.
