These MI Breweries Earned Medals At 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship
Two Michigan breweries earned gold medals at the event.
MICHIGAN — Multiple Michigan breweries took home awards at this year's U.S. Open Beer Championship.
Silver Harbor Brewing in St. Joseph won four medals, including gold in the barrel-aged strong stout/porter category for its Maple Grenade, which has a 13 percent ABV brew aged in bourbon barrels.
Along with its gold medal, Silver Harbor also earned three silver medals: English Barleywine category for its Shipfaced drink, Fruit Wheat Beer – Peach for its Happy Accidents and Belgian Quadrupel for its Two Brewers are Better Than One.

Bell's Brewery in Comstock won the second most medals for Michigan, including a gold medal for its Bell's Smitten in the Single Hop Pale Ale category and one for its Oberon Light in the American-Style Fruit Beer – Orange category.
Bell's also earned a silver medal in the American Stout category for its Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout.

Other Michigan winners at the 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship include:
- Schoolcraft Brewery, bronze medal for its Old Crank in the Strong Scottish Ale category
- Big Lake Brewing, bronze medal for its Michigan Amber in the American Amber/Red Ale category
- Three Blondes Brewing, bronze medal for its Dill With It in the Herb and Spice Beer category
