SAGINAW COUNTY, MI — Those returning from up north can expect to run into delays on an iconic stretch of Interstate 75.

Starting April 14, the southbound Zilwaukee Bridge in Saginaw County, will be closed for road work, according to Michigan road officials.

The $2.9 million project includes expansion joint repair, deck patching and resealing, according to Michigan road officials.

Drivers will be detoured to the Interstate 675 junction north of Kochville Road to the southbound Interstate 75/Interstate 675 interchange south of Wadsworth Road.

Work is expected to be completed by June 27. Work on the northbound lanes is expected to start July 14.
