Robina Rhapsody Kicks Off Thursday
The free summer concert series in Berkley offers fun for the whole family.

Grab your lawn chairs, pack a picnic dinner and get ready to boogie down Thursday during the first night of the Robina Rhapsody summer concert series in Berkley.
The free event, which is put on by the Berkley Junior Women's Club, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Robina at 12 Mile Road. The street will be closed and a stage set up for the Aaron Vaughn Band. There also will be activities for the kids, including sidewalk chalk, hula hoops and bubbles, Denise Brainard of the Berkley Junior Women's Club told the Berkley City Council on June 6.
"Everybody has fun at this event," Brainard said. "... It's absolutely free. Just bring your lawn chair and your kids and have fun."

If you miss Thursday's concert, don't sweat it. You'll have three more chances this summer to check out Robina Rhapsody and each evening will have a different theme.
- July 21: Beach Bash
- Aug. 18: '50s and '60s, Cruisin' in Berkley
- Sept. 15: FestiFall
This Thursday's theme will be Summer Days in Berkley and hopefully the weather will go along with the plan. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high of 76 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms.
