City to Hold Long-Term Planning Session Saturday

The Birmingham City Commission, as well as representatives from various city departments, will meet Saturday for the city's annual long range planning session.

The meeting begins at 8 a.m. at , in the second floor meeting room. The lineup of presentations and discussion is as follows:

• Presentation of the five-year financial model

8:30-8:45 a.m.:

• Updates on building permits and inspection services for Beverly Hills residents

8:45-9:30 a.m.:

• Infrastructure study update
• Backyard sewer and water master plan update

9:30-9:45 a.m.:

9:45-10:30 a.m.:

• Special discussion on the future of the library building

10:30-10:45 a.m.:

• Updates on equipment purchases and their replacement schedule

10:45-11:45 a.m.:

• Complete Streets update
• Regional collaboration report, featuring several southern Oakland County communities
• Master Plan and Overlay Zone implementation plan update

11:45 a.m.-noon: Lunch
