Oakland County Celebrates Passport Day in the USA March 9

The Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds is hosting a special passport event on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide passport information and accept passport applications from U.S. citizens. Other services usually available only on weekdays will also be offered.

“We’re joining the Department of State in celebrating Passport Day in the USA 2013 – a national passport acceptance and outreach event,” said Lisa Brown, Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds. “It’s another example of our commitment to providing convenient service to Oakland County residents.”

U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air. U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government.
