3 Men Steal $3K In Clothing From Oakland County Sporting Store: Police

The three men were placed in jail while charges were pending at the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A group of men are facing charges after stealing nearly $3,000 worth of clothes from an Oakland County sporting store, according to police.

The theft happened at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dick's Sporting Goods store on Telegraph Road near Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Township, according to police.

Police said two men walked into the store, grabbed multiple items of clothing and left without paying.

Witnesses told officers the men got into a black Nissan with heavy front-end damage that sped away south on Telegraph Road, according to police.

Other officers in the area found the Nissan on Telegraph near Maple Road and stopped the car, according to police.

The three men inside the car had 55 articles of stolen clothing totaling $2,755, according to police.

Officers recovered the stolen clothing, according to police.

The three men were placed in jail while charges were pending at the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials did not identify the thieves.
