Beer Distributorship Helps Bloomfield Optimists Deliver Toys
For more than 25 years, Bloomfield Hills Optimist Club has been supporting disadvantaged and at-risk kids in Children's Holiday Wish Program

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI - Oakland County children in need will receive gifts under a program spearheaded by the Bloomfield Hills Optimist Club.
This year, Optimist Club members hope to distribute 3,000 gifts to disadvantaged children through its Holiday Wish Program, which serves the Pontiac, Troy, Royal Oak, Waterford, Auburn Hills, Ferndale, Farmington, Walled Lake, Berkley, Lake Orion, West Bloomfield and Clawson communities.

This year, the 100 employees Oakland County beer distributorship Hubert Distributors kicked in by donating gifts and assisting with delivery.
“Our employees at Hubert Distributors are pleased to support a program that brings some cheer to kids in need who live right in the communities we serve,” Tom Vella, president of Pontiac-based distributorship, said in a statement.

“This community has done so much to support our company and our employees for generations, and we are happy we can participate in the Children’s Holiday Wish Program,” he said. “Our company has been in this community for generations, and we’re happy we can give back for a good cause.”
Brian MacKenzie of the Bloomfield Hills Optimist Club, which has been running the Holiday Wish Program since 1989, said the employees at Hubert help make the program a success.
“Hubert and its employees have truly opened their hearts to the community,” MacKenzie said. “Local businesses like Hubert and their employees are the backbone of our community and we’re truly grateful to have these businesses as our neighbors.”
