After a busy election season in August 2012, there are no local bond issues, proposals or candidates for Bloomfield voters to cast ballots for on Tuesday. Enjoy the reprieve! 

Progressive Flash Mob/Business Crawl

Have you experienced what's new at Bloomfield Plaza? Consider taking a stroll Wednesday along the new-ish businesses in Bloomfield Plaza, organized by the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce. The group will start at 4 p.m. at the Great Lakes Coffee Company, and continue in a progressive event through the plaza ending at Bagger Dave's. The event is free.

Food Truck Party

The summer reading programs at the Baldwin Public Library concludes with a pair of events Thursday. Young readers will celebrate with a Jacques' Tacos Food Truck Party from 1-3 p.m. Jacques' Tacos owner, Jim Mastrangel, will visit to share the food and discuss the food truck business. Summer reading prizes and awards will be announced. The "I Did It Myself!" chocolate reading thank-you for independent readers is scheduled from 2-3 p.m. 

Ice Cream Social

Staff and patrons of the Bloomfield Township Public Library will celebrate the end of the “Dig into Reading” summer program with an ice cream social on the Youth Terrace from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday. All ages are welcome and no registration is required.

Teen Lock-in

Fun scavenger hunts, games of hide and seek with other teens and other activities will be part of the fun after hours at the Bloomfield Township Public Library Friday. The event is from 6:30 - 9 p.m. and is geared for teens aged 13-18. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Pre-registration and a parental consent form are required.
