Counterfeit Cash, Guns And More Seized From Oakland County Home: Police

A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the raid, according to police.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI — A 19-year-old man was arrested last week after officers raided his Oakland County home and seized counterfeit money, fake checks and weapons, according to police.

Deago Harrell was charged with one count of uttering and publishing counterfeit bills or notes. He was placed in jail with a bond set at $75,000. His next court date is scheduled for Thursday.

The raid happened at 6 a.m. last Wednesday at Harrell's home in the 7800 block of Timberlane Trail near Haggerty and Oakley Park roads in West Bloomfield, according to police.

During the raid, officers seized laptops, a computer tablet, smartphones, prescription pills, checks in other people's names, credit cards, cash, counterfeit money, financial documents, mail, driver's licenses, a credit card reader/encoder and notebooks filled with the personal information of other people.

They also found numerous weapons, including pistols, a shotgun, and loaded and unloaded magazines, according to police.

Police were still investigating the incident and asked anyone with information to call Detective Pacheco at 248-975-8905.
