Police ID Driver Killed In Maple Road Head-On Crash
The man was driving east on Maple and hit a vehicle with two women in it.
BLOOMFIELD TWP., MI – The driver killed in a head-on crash Saturday evening along Maple Road has been identified by police as a 38-year-old Lansing man.
Police say that Vivek Vanaharam, 38, was driving a Honda Civic west on Maple Road, crossed the center line and collided with a Chevrolet Equinox, which was headed east, police said. Vanaharam was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two women in the Equinox were taken to nearby hospitals. The women are both from Bloomfield Township, police said.

The crash was reported at 6:35 p.m. Saturday.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Bloomfield Township police. Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the crash. Witnesses can investigators at (248) 433-7749.
