Smelly Mess: Truck Carrying Human Waste Overturns Along I-75
Traffic backups through the evening rush hour are expected as crews clean up the mess.

AUBURN HILLS, MI – Let's just cut to the chase: This accident along Interstate 75 really stinks. According to police reports, a semi truck carrying tons of human waste went off the side of the highway and overturned and spilled its load on Wednesday morning.
Northbound traffic along I-75 on Wednesday afternoon was expected to be reduced to two lanes north of Michigan Route 59, according to the Auburn Hills Police. The crash was reported by police at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Auburn Hills Police did not have further details.

Cleanup of the mess was expected to take several hours and beyond the evening rush hour. Traffic backups in the northbound lanes of I-75 were expected, reported the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Auburn Hills Police reported that an estimated 50 to 55 tons of treated human waste was spilled, according to a report by CBS-Detroit.
